Create A DC Solar + Battery + Distribution Scenario

Use this path for DC loads where solar is part of the system you want to model.

Check the loads first

The version should contain DC appliances only. If AC appliances need to stay in the same option, choose the mixed AC/DC solar scenario instead.

Create the scenario

On the Scenario editor, choose DC - Solar + Battery + Distribution. The guided route creates load groups, collects worst-case usage hours, and then uses Continue to Scenario Settings. GridGap will show that the scenario is ready before opening the starting settings.

The blank route uses the blank scenario modal to create the same scenario type without guided starting defaults.

What to review

Review battery settings, DC distribution, solar inputs, solar controller results, charging assumptions, and warnings after calculation.

Practical advice

Be clear about whether solar only supports daytime loads or also needs to restore battery energy after use.
