Generate A Quote From A Scenario Result
Quotes start on the results page, not in a blank quote screen. Pick the saved scenario result you want to price, then let GridGap seed the first draft from that result.
Check the source result
Open the project results page and select the right version. Then check the scenario card you are quoting. Different scenario types can create different seeded quote rows, especially where solar, DC distribution, converters, or downstream boards are part of the result.
If you have edited loads, usage, scenario settings, solar inputs, or installation inputs since the last calculation, calculate again before quoting. The quote uses the stored result, not unsaved editor changes.
Click Generate Quote
Use Generate Quote from the results action bar. GridGap creates a draft quote immediately and opens the quote editor. That draft will also appear in the Quotes register, even if you leave the editor before finishing it.
What GridGap seeds
The first draft can include quote rows for result-backed requirements such as batteries, inverter, AC charger, DC charger, solar panels, MPPT controller, converters, downstream distribution boards, and installation materials. The exact rows depend on the saved scenario result.
GridGap does not add supplier prices. Prices, brands, models, SKUs, and commercial notes are added by you in the draft editor.
If Generate Quote is not available
Check access first. Personal quote access needs an active Pro account. Workspace quote access needs a Business workspace context where you can edit the workspace. The action is also unavailable for archived projects and for versions without a selected calculated result.
