Reading The Results Overview
Do not start with the biggest number on the screen. Start by confirming the saved version, then work your way down.
Start with the version selector
The version selector tells GridGap which saved version you are looking at. The summary around it gives you the context, including version name, version number, dates, and warning count.
This step matters more than it looks. If you compare the wrong version, the rest of the reading goes off course.
Read the scenario summary next
Under the version selector you will see Scenario Results. In the current flow, a version carries one scenario, so this section works as the summary card for the saved scenario in that version.
Use it as a quick read, not the verdict. It shows whether the result already looks large, tight, or warning-heavy before you open the detail tabs.
Use the detail tabs for the full picture
The lower part of the page is the detailed result area. This is where GridGap breaks the saved result into tabs such as Overview, Battery, Inverter, Distribution, Charging, Solar, Solar Controller, Equipment Check, Installation Guidance, and Warnings.
Not every result shows every tab. That is normal. The tabs depend on the scenario type and the data available.
How to read the Overview tab
The Overview tab is the best place to start once the version is confirmed. It gathers the headline outputs into one view so you can decide where to focus next.
The exact card set depends on the scenario, but common headline cards include Night load Wh or Total off-grid Wh, Battery depletion, Energy to replace, Battery count, Battery configuration, Recommended inverter size, Recommended charger size, Recommended DC charger, Main DC Bus, Converters, Downstream Distribution Boards, Panels required, Autonomy hours, Recharge time, Battery reserve margin, Inverter load, and Solar surplus / shortfall.
Use this tab to spot where the pressure is. Then move into the deeper tab that explains that part of the result properly.
A good reading order
Confirm the version. Read the scenario summary. Review the Overview tab. Then open the detailed tabs that match whatever looks weak, expensive, or uncertain.
