Issue And Manage A Quote
Issue the quote only when the draft is ready to become a document. Issuing locks a snapshot for PDF output and changes what you can do next.
Check the draft first
Open the quote detail page and review the customer, seller, dates, scenario context, totals, quote items, payment terms, terms, and notes. If the quote is still draft, use Edit Draft for changes.
Also check whether the technical summary, warnings, and acceptance block should be shown on the quote PDF. Those display choices come from commercial settings.
Issue the quote
Click Issue Quote. GridGap assigns the quote number, stores the issued quote snapshot, and makes the quote PDF available. The editor is no longer available after this point.
If the quote still needs commercial changes after issue, create a fresh quote from the relevant saved result. Do not rely on later setting changes to update an issued document.
Download the quote PDF
After issue, use Download Quote PDF. The PDF is based on the issued snapshot. It can include seller details, customer details, quote rows, totals, tax breakdown, technical summary, warnings, and acceptance content depending on the settings used for that quote.
Record the customer outcome
If the customer accepts the quote, click Accept Quote. Accepted is the state that allows invoice creation. If the customer rejects the offer, use Decline Quote. If the quote should be stopped for another reason, use Cancel Quote.
What changes after acceptance
An accepted quote can create full, deposit, or balance invoice drafts where the accepted quote totals support those options. The invoice is based on the accepted quote snapshot, not on live scenario edits.
