How GridGap Calculates At A High Level

The app follows a structured backend-driven flow so that results are derived consistently and stored per version.

Calculation flow

At a high level, GridGap works from loads to energy demand, then into battery requirement, battery-bank interpretation, inverter sizing, charger sizing, warnings, and stored results.

Solar branch

For solar-hybrid scenarios, the solar branch adds day-load support, battery-recharge burden, sun-hour assumptions, cloud effects, panel count logic, advisory string guidance, and MPPT-related outputs.

Results and versions

Results are stored per version and per scenario. Calculate refreshes the currently opened version in place. Calculate New Version clones from the currently opened version and preserves the source version.
