Troubleshooting: Why Did My Panel Count Increase

This usually happens because the app is no longer showing only the raw energy-derived minimum. It is showing the final clean installed count.

Raw minimum vs installed count

The raw minimum panel count is the starting point based on energy demand. The installed panel count is the practical count after string guidance has cleaned it up.

String cleanup

If the advisory string logic suggests a specific number of panels per string, the final installed count may be rounded up so the array divides cleanly into full strings.

Why this is useful

The increase makes the result more practical for real-world planning. It avoids leaving the user with a raw count that does not wire cleanly into the suggested string layout.
