Troubleshooting: Workspace Seat Or Role Issues
Workspace access problems often come from seat limits, pending invitations that still count toward seats, or simply not having the owner/admin role needed for the action you are trying to take.
What this usually means
The workspace itself may still exist, but your role or the workspace seat state is stopping normal access. This is different from a login failure or an invalid invitation.
Common causes
Common causes include the organisation being over its paid seat limit, pending invitations using up available seats, trying to manage billing without owner access, or expecting a member role to have admin or owner controls.
How to fix it
If the workspace says it is over its seat limit, the owner or admin needs to remove or deactivate members, revoke unused invitations, or increase the paid seat count. If you are only a member, you may need to wait for the owner or admin to restore the workspace rather than fixing it yourself.
If the issue is role-based, confirm whether you are a member, admin, or owner in that workspace. Billing, seat management, and some workspace controls remain limited to higher roles for a reason.
