Troubleshooting: Password Reset Problems
Password reset issues usually come down to email delivery, using the wrong account type, or opening an older reset link after requesting a newer one.
What this usually means
The reset request reached GridGap, but the reset token was never delivered, was replaced by a newer request, or is being used for an account that does not log in with a password at all.
Common causes
Common causes include checking the wrong inbox, using a social-sign-in account that never had a password, opening an expired reset email, or submitting a reset request multiple times and then trying an older link.
How to fix it
Start by checking spam and junk folders. If no email arrives, submit the reset request again for the same address and use only the newest email that arrives. If the link opens but the token is invalid or expired, repeat the reset flow and do not reuse the earlier email.
If the account normally uses Google, Microsoft, or LinkedIn to sign in, a password reset may not be the right route. In that case return to the social login flow instead of repeatedly requesting resets.
