How Data Export Works

Data export is separate from PDF reporting. Its purpose is data access and portability, not presentation.

Personal data export

Personal data export is requested from the Account area. It downloads a ZIP copy of the data held in your personal GridGap account, including your personal support ticket history and your personal project-related records where those belong to your account.

Workspace data export

Workspace data export is separate from personal export. It is requested from the Workspace Settings area and is owner-only. Other workspace members should not expect to download the full workspace data archive just because they belong to that workspace.

What the download looks like

The export is delivered as a ZIP archive rather than as one polished PDF. It is a record-oriented download intended for access and portability, not for client-facing presentation.

What data export is not

Data export is not the same as a branded PDF report. If you want a presentation document tied to a saved result set, you are in the PDF report workflow instead. If you want a structured copy of stored account or workspace data, you are in the data export workflow.
