How To Generate A Quote From Results

Generate the quote from the result you actually want to price. If the scenario has not been calculated yet, quote creation is not available.

Before you click Generate Quote

Open the project results page, select the correct version, and choose the scenario card you want to quote. Check the scenario type as well. AC, DC distribution, mixed AC/DC, and solar-enabled results can seed different quote rows.

The quote uses the saved scenario result. If you have changed scenario settings, loads, solar settings, installation inputs, or usage inputs since the last calculation, calculate again before generating the quote.

Generate the draft

On the results page action bar, click Generate Quote. GridGap creates a draft quote from the selected scenario result and opens the quote editor.

The first draft is saved immediately. That is why it appears in the Quotes register even if you leave the editor before finishing the commercial details.

What opens next

The quote editor shows the calculation source, customer details, quote items, terms, notes, and totals. Seeded rows come from the saved result. You add prices, brands, models, SKUs, and any manual items you need.

If the button is missing

Quote access is available for active Pro personal accounts and Business workspace contexts where the current user can edit the workspace. The button is also hidden for archived projects and cannot create a quote without a selected scenario result.
