How Quote PDFs Work
You download a quote PDF after the quote is issued. A draft quote can be edited, but it is not ready for PDF export.
Issue first
On the quote detail page, click Issue Quote when the draft is ready. GridGap assigns the quote number, locks the issued snapshot, and makes Download Quote PDF available.
Once issued, the quote editor is no longer available for that quote. If something needs to change, create a fresh quote from the relevant saved result rather than trying to rewrite the issued document.
What the PDF uses
The PDF uses the issued quote snapshot. That snapshot contains the quote details, customer details, seller details, line items, totals, commercial profile, and the calculation snapshot captured for the quote.
Later changes to commercial settings, branding, scenario inputs, or results do not update that issued quote PDF.
What can appear on the PDF
The PDF can include branding, seller details, quote totals, tax breakdown, technical summary, stored warnings, notes, terms, and an acceptance block. Some of these are controlled by commercial settings before the quote is created and issued.
Not the calculation report
A quote PDF is a commercial document. It is separate from the GridGap PDF report that explains the calculation result in more detail.
