Troubleshooting: Why Did My Version Number Change

If you delete a version, GridGap closes the numbering gap.

Why it changed

If a project had Versions #1, #2, #3, and #4, and Version #2 was deleted, the later versions are renumbered so the project now shows #1, #2, and #3.

What did not change

The version's stored data is not rewritten into another version's results. The visible number is kept clean and sequential for the user experience.

How to avoid confusion

Use version names when the meaning matters. A clear name survives better than relying only on Version #2.
