Troubleshooting: The Project Could Not Be Calculated

This is a broad calculation failure message. The useful clue is usually the last scenario change, a failed save, or a validation detail nearby.

What may have failed

GridGap saves pending scenario edits before calculation. That includes scenario settings, usage, solar settings where the scenario uses solar, and installation inputs where the scenario uses them. If that save fails, the calculation does not have a clean input set to run.

The submitted scenario data may also be incomplete or inconsistent after it reaches backend validation.

Likely causes

Look for recently changed scenario settings, usage rows, solar inputs, installation inputs, conflicting profile selections, hidden values that no longer match allowed backend values, or a save problem while storing results.

Pay close attention to the scenario type. A field that belongs to an AC-only path, a DC distribution path, a mixed AC/DC path, or a solar-enabled path can fail if it is being carried into the wrong calculation context.

How to narrow it down

Check whether the scenario itself can still be updated. Then review the fields changed most recently, especially around usage, solar, installation, and profile-driven dropdowns. If a version used to calculate and now fails after one edit, that edit is the best clue.

If you changed scenario type while creating a new version, check the carry-forward choices too. Some inputs are only valid when the source and target scenario types support the same part of the model.
