How To Create An AC/DC Battery + Distribution Scenario
Use this scenario when the version contains both AC and DC loads, and solar is not contributing during the period you are modelling.
When to use this scenario
This is the right path when AC-only and DC-only scenarios would each leave part of the load picture out. The model needs to keep both load types in view while still treating the scenario as a battery-led option.
It can suit homes, small sites, vehicles, boats, or equipment setups where some loads need an AC path while others remain on DC distribution.
Set up the scenario
Add the AC and DC appliances to the version first. Then choose AC/DC - Battery + Distribution when selecting the scenario type.
With guided setup, GridGap creates the relevant load groups, collects worst-case usage hours, and then uses Continue to Scenario Settings. GridGap will show that the scenario is ready before opening the starting settings. With blank settings, choose the same scenario type in the blank scenario modal and enter the scenario assumptions yourself.
What to focus on
Mixed scenarios need a little more discipline because the result is shaped by both load paths. Check the battery assumptions, the AC-side inverter requirements, and the DC distribution requirements together.
Keep the usage assignment honest. A load should only be included if this scenario is actually expected to support it.

After calculation, review the overview, battery, inverter, DC distribution, charging, and warnings sections. The key question is whether the mixed load set is still practical for the battery and supporting equipment.
