How To Create An Invoice From A Quote
Invoices come after quote acceptance. GridGap does not create standalone invoices from a project or live scenario edit.
What must happen first
The quote must be issued, then marked as accepted. Only accepted quotes can create invoice drafts. This keeps the invoice tied to the commercial document the customer accepted, not to whatever the project looks like later.
Invoice types
From an accepted quote, GridGap can create a Full Invoice. If the accepted quote has a deposit amount, it can also create a Deposit Invoice. If there is a remaining balance after the deposit, it can create a Balance Invoice.
Deposit and balance options depend on the accepted quote totals. If there is no deposit amount, the deposit invoice option is not available.
What the invoice is based on
The invoice draft is created from the accepted quote snapshot. It inherits quote context, line items, customer information, tax settings, and quote reference data from that snapshot.
What happens next
GridGap opens the invoice editor after creating the draft. You can adjust invoice details while it is still a draft, then issue it when it is ready for PDF output and payment tracking.
