Troubleshooting: Export And Report Problems

Export problems are often context problems. Check the saved result, the selected version, and the account or workspace access before assuming the file generator failed.

What may be missing

The export or PDF action could not complete because GridGap did not have the required saved result context, the feature is not available in the current access context, or the generated output could not be prepared from the selected data.

Likely causes

Look for an export attempt before calculation, confusion between a personal export context and a Business workspace context, or expecting a report option that is not part of the current plan or current output state.

Also check the selected version and scenario type. The PDF follows the saved result, so an AC result, DC distribution result, mixed AC/DC result, and solar-enabled result can produce different report sections.

How to fix it

Start by opening the exact version you want to export and confirming that its saved results page is available. If you have unsaved changes in the scenario editor, calculate the version again before exporting. Then verify that you are attempting the export from the correct account or workspace context.

If the export still fails after you confirm the result set exists, open a support ticket and include the project, version, scenario, and scenario type if possible so support can inspect the exact calculation context.
