Invoice Statuses Explained
Invoice status tells you whether the invoice is still being prepared, has been issued, has money outstanding, or has been voided.
Draft
Draft invoices are editable. You can update customer details, seller details, invoice dates, payment instructions, amount paid, invoice rows, discount, and notes. The invoice PDF is not available until the invoice is issued.
Issued
Issued means the invoice has a document snapshot and can be downloaded as a PDF. An issued invoice can record payment if it still has a balance due.
Part paid
Part paid means a payment has been recorded, but the balance due is not zero. The invoice remains open until the remaining balance is paid or the invoice is voided.
Paid
Paid means the balance due has reached zero. No further payment is needed for that invoice.
Overdue
Overdue means the due date has passed and a balance remains outstanding. GridGap derives this from the invoice due date and balance.
Void
Void keeps the invoice record but stops it being treated as an active payable invoice. Only issued, part-paid, or overdue invoices can be voided.
